Once upon a time, I was browsing through one of my favorite blogs and I stumbled upon pictures of this magical place but I had to look for the map (it wasn't revealed in the said blog where the said magical place is.. WHY HUHU). I just had to find this place because I always crave for mini adventures within Metro Manila without having to spend so much. So I gathered up my friends for an emegency meeting and thankfully, one of them figured out where it was after about half an hour (again, WHY HUHU). This magical place could be found in the Quezon City Memorial Circle and it is called the Circle of Fun. But let's call it perya for short and it adds that Filipino touch and zest to the whole experience!

Right after work (see: killer stiletto heels), I forced my friends to go with me to the peryaand it was nothing less than what I expected. In fact, it was a whole lot more! The colorful rides that were so well maintained (I honestly expected rust and creaking sounds), the lights, the classic peryahan games like balloon darting and pellet guns, everything is just perfect!

Each ride only costs around P30-P40 each. And there are all these random installments that make it look more like a fantasy land or the village Snow White comes from. Total photo oportunities! (I'd stay away from the dwarves though, painted eyes are always freaky) Take a look at this wishing well for example, which works by the way. Water is really pouring into the bucket then the well. Usually, I'd expected installments such as this to be.. uhm.. not working.

(cont.)... And take a look at this ferris wheel shaped like undewater helmet thingies. HOW HIPSTER!! I remember seeing the underwater glowing human monsters from Scooby Doo cartoons wearing these helmets.

Oh and hello there, my friend Helen on a carousel!

It sucks though, that we only had around 15 minutes to enjoy the whole place since it closes at 9pm, which means I need to go back! We had our happiy ever after though. And on the plus side, you could go straight to Maginhawa (and have a food adventure this time) to grab a bite.

'Til the next, my friends! And hopefully on my next trip there, I'll get to witness this (photo not mine):
